Bernadette TSUI

Adjunct Professor, The University of Hong Kong; Writer-Producer

Professor Bernadette Tsui was previously Associate Vice-President at The University of Hong Kong overseeing Development & Alumni Affairs.  Her book, "The City with a Heart -- Stories of Giving from Hong Kong and Hong Kong University”, analysed the tradition and evolving trends in a cosmopolitan city, and captured the essence of philanthropy as a power for social transformation. For her pioneering leadership, she was granted the "Asia-Pacific Distinguished Service Award" in 2018 by the Council for Advancement and Support for Education (CASE).  She is now Adjunct Professor at HKU.

An arts and culture critic, and veteran columnist for the Hong Kong Economic Journal, with extensive experience in arts management and the media.  She has a BA and an MPhil in drama from University of Hong Kong, and studied theatre in Japan, UK, Germany and the US before starting her career as a theatre director.

She has recently launched new ventures in film and stage production.
