About

Joyce Chow is Assistant Director at the Centre for Civil Society and Governance, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), where she leads and supports a range of sustainability-related research, policy, and knowledge exchange initiatives.

Since joining HKU in 2005, she has worked with a team of researchers on action research and projects related to social innovation, community engagement, and disability-inclusive employment, while also overseeing stakeholder-based activities and capacity-building workshops for NGOs, the business sector, and government departments.

Her work spans urban planning, social entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and stakeholder collaboration, and she plays a key role in advancing projects on NGO governance, stakeholder empowerment, community planning, and regional development and integration.

A Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in the United Kingdom since 2008, she brings extensive regional and local networks to her leadership in research and practice.

She currently leads efforts to empower diverse civic actors and social organizations, fostering cross-sector collaboration and contributing to a more sustainable society.
