About

Juliana Busasi is a medical doctor and Founder of Ahadi Mental Health (AMH), building a national mental health system for young people in Tanzania. She focuses on one idea: mental health care should reach people where they are, before crisis. Through Africa Health and Development International (AHADI), a national early-intervention mental health system, meaning “promise” in Swahili, she is shifting access from clinics to national helplines and community-based care so young people can get support early. Her work focuses on identifying risk, guiding young people to the right level of care, and ensuring continued support over time. AMH partners with the Ministry of Health to embed this model within public systems and reach young people at population scale.
