Side Programme: Spotlight on Collaborative Philanthropy

Collaborative philanthropy is a relatively recent model that is growing exponentially around the world. In China and Asia, there is much interest in seeding new collaborative funds as a way to scale grantmaking to issues and communities of key importance. Happening during the Philanthropy for Better Cities Forum, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Institute of Philanthropy are pleased to co-host this special session, “Spotlight on Collaborative Philanthropy”. The 3.5-hour convening will share insights, trends, and bring together perspectives on collaborative philanthropy models around the world. Through key research insights, inspiring panel discussions, and generative table discussions to exchange ideas, we hope to foster a new wave of interest and investment of collaborative philanthropy across China and Asia more broadly.
