Plenary 1: What is Impact? Launching a new, systematic assessment of Asian giving​ (co-presented by Institute of Philanthropy and The Bridgespan Group)

Philanthropic organisations worldwide struggle with understanding their performance. Organisational and cultural differences also mean there is limited agreement across philanthropies on definitions of impact. With philanthropies increasingly striving for higher impact and catalysing other forms of capital, there is a need to put global, especially Asian giving, into perspective to ensure maximum benefit for individuals and communities in need.

This session will identify and illustrate the anchor practices of global high-impact philanthropies and how we can all learn from each other to amplify impact.
