Sumbal JAVED
Dr Sumbal Javed is a physician, public health diplomat, humanitarian professional, and associate professor. She oversees numerous collaborative national and international projects on health policy, humanitarian crises, and climate change. She has been on the front line of humanitarian crises in politically unstable countries and the capitals of donor governments, interceding with diplomats and politicians. She has authored several policy briefs on global health governance, diplomacy, gender, and multilateralism, providing evidence-based recommendations for forums such as G/T20, COP, and G/T7. Previously, she was involved in the Global Health Security Agenda and the 7-1-7 Alliance at the National Institute of Health. She initiated a project in Hong Kong on women's health for the vulnerable and marginalized population. The project's success led to her receiving recognition from the government of Hong Kong. She contributed to policy recommendations for human rights violations and women's health services for internally displaced people in Myanmar.
